My 1st quilt

Have not begun making quilt. Will be my 1st attempt @ quilting. I have sewn since I was very young, but never quilted. I am inspired to make this quilt for my granddaughter. She is graduating from high school in May. I want to use the scraps, left over fabrics from the dresses I made for her as she as growing up. Wish me luck! Know it will be beautiful!

Carpenters star

Good directions, I would not have put this together correctly without the diagram! Put each quarter together first which was easiest for me. Going to make the next one with 5” squares for a baby quilt.
